PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store ink in an ink pen while preventing the leak of ink caused by a change of the peripheral temp. or pressure by forming a passage to the outside part of a porous liquid storage medium having a hole for storing ink formed thereto. SOLUTION: Respective porous foam members 30a, 30b, 30c (30) composed of open-cell foam capable of absorbing liquid ink to store the same are charged in respective ink chambers 26 so as to spread over the range from the upper ends 48 of the ink chambers having atmosphere leak apertures to the lower ends thereof or from the front side of a pen body 12 to the rear side thereof. Further, a series of passages 154 are linearly provided to the porous foams 30 from one end to the other end thereof. In an ink filling process, for example, the continuous passage or gap extending to an upper part 28 between the interior of walls 32, 36 and the foam member 30a allows ink to flow backward through the gap low in fluid resistance. Since the porous foam membefrs 30 are not filled with ink up to the upper parts thereof, the expansion of air in ink is adjusted during a period of the volumetric change caused by a temp. or pressure change by the ink moved into the humid regions 33 of the porous foam members. |
