PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the film peeling between a polarizing plate and a protective film and to improve durability by using a film contg. a UV absorbent for a transparent resin film having a dimensional shrinkage rate in a specific range. SOLUTION: The UV absorbent is incorporated into the transparent resin film having the dimensional shrinkage rate of -0.06 to 0.06%, by which the protective film for the polarizing plate is formed. The transparent resin film having the dimensional shrinkage rate of <=0.06% and >=-0.06% refers to the transparent resin film which exhibits dimensional shrinkage rate of <=0.06 and >=-0.06% both in the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction when the film is heat treated for 60 hours at 90 deg.C. The polarizing plate having the excellent durability is formable if such film is used. The more specific examples for forming the transparent resin film exhibiting such dimensional shrinkage rate includes polycarbonate films, polyarylate films, norbornane resin films, etc. |
