PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel-made high pressure gas container excellent in corrosion resistance, non-magnetism and durability essential of stainless steel and a method for manufacturing this container. SOLUTION: In a method of manufacture, after an assembling/welding process of a body and end part formed by molding work of stainless steel, vacuum solution heat treatment, comprising a process placing a stainless steel-made high pressure gas container in a heating furnace, holding its inside in a vacuum, injecting reducing hydrogen gas, heating inside the furnace for 0.5 to 30 hours at a prescribed temperature in a range within 850 deg.C or more and 1400 deg.C or less, thereafter cooling, is additionally applied, brittleness of a welding part is improved, and an essential characteristic of stainless steel is restored. |
