PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize card data of an ID card and also to restore it at the point of time when a reading error occurs in the ID card by reporting data which becomes the reading error to a host computer together with personal information so as to execute a retrieval processing when the reading error occurs at the time of reading the ID card. SOLUTION: When the reading error or errorneous reading occurs at the time of reading the ID card, reading data of the ID card is stored in a prescribed storage area without scrapping it and reading is re-tried prescribed times. Then, after the storage of error data of the ID card by plural-time reading retrial, personal data is inputted from a keyboard 4 under the control of an inquiry program 5. The inquiry program 5 receives precedingly stored ID card data from a control program 3, transmits it to the host computer 7 through a communication program 6 together with personal data inputted from the keyboard 4 and executes inquiry. |
