Pharmaceutical compositions of an erythromycin derivative combined with sulfisoxazole according to the structural formulas: <IMAGE> <IMAGE> where R is hydrogen, C1-C10 alkylcarbonyl or C1-C10 alkyl wherein the substituent is amino or cyano; R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, hydroxyl or amino; and the pharmaceutical salts and esters thereof.
