PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact seal for fluid machine which is suitable for high circumferential speed and high temperature. SOLUTION: A contact seal 12 is formed of at least two parts, a thin support ring 13 and a seal ring 14. The seal ring 14 is formed of a sufficiently oil resisting, heat resisting and wear resisting material, and the support ring 13 is formed of an elastic material which is perfectly reversible even in a high load, and has a fixed part 17 on the inside and a support part 18 on the outside. The support part 18 is engagingly connected to the seal ring 14, and at least the support part 18 is inclined toward a seal surface 16 in the assembled state of the contact seal. |
