PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve learning efficiency as a tool for education by retrieving a converted phrase corresponding to the reading of input character string out of a Japanese syllabary(KANA)/Chinese character(KANJI) dictionary and dividedly displaying a converted candidate corresponding to a prescribed standard and the other converted candidates. SOLUTION: A standard storage part 7 stores the standard inputted from a keyboard 1 and a flag showing whether or not this standard is to be validized or the like and a KANA/KANJI dictionary 6 correspondently stores reading, converted phrases, frequency of use of respective phrases and educational grades showing the educational levels of respective phrases. Then, a dictionary retrieval part 5 retrieves the KANA/KANJI dictionary 6 and extracts the converted phrase corresponding to the reading of inputted character string as the converted candidate. In this case, the converted phrases corresponding to the reading of inputted KANA character string are retrieved from the KANA/KANJI dictionary 6, the converted candidates corresponding to the prescribed standard are stored as the converted candidates of 1st group, the other candidates are stored as the converted candidates of 2nd group respectively, and the converted candidates of both the groups are dividedly displayed. |
