PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee a seat section to be located at a suitable position for a backrest section by providing the first and second pivotally fitted deformable mechanism means on the seat section in the turnable backrest section. SOLUTION: Two support drive section assemblies 18 arranged in the lateral direction on both sides of an airplane chair are provided with the first and second pivotally fitted deformable mechanical means 19, 20. These mechanical means 19, 20 mechanically cooperate with a backrest section 2 to be turned around a shaft 16 common to both means 19, 20 and mechanically cooperate with a seat section 3 at the terminal 21 and tip section 23 of the backrest section 2. The function of two sets 18 of the means 19, 20 is to support the seat section 3, to move the seat section 3 upward when the backrest section 2 is moved from the erect chair position to the sleeping position, and to move the seat section 3 downward when the backrest section 2 is moved from the sleeping position to the erect chair position. |
