PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which can bring the virtual realities closer to actual word. SOLUTION: A real space video signal processing means 26 processes the real space video signals sent from a single image pickup means 19 and generates the 1st right and left eye video signals having the different horizontal positions of corresponding images from each other. At the same time, an image signal generation means 22 generates the 2nd right and left eye image signals having the different horizontal positions of corresponding images from each other. A right eye video signal synthesizing means 28 synthesizes the 2nd right eye image signal in a partial area of the 1st right eye video signal to generate the right eye display signal, and a left eye video signal synthesizing means 27 synthesized the 2nd left eye image signal in a partial area of the 1st left eye video signal to generate the left eye display signal. Both right and left eye display signals are displayed at a video display means 14, so that the images acquired by an image pickup means 19 are photographed at a finite distance. |
