PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy duty tire with superior low heat generation without damaging tear characteristics. SOLUTION: This is a heavy duty tire which has a carcass and a breaker layer which is disposed at the outside in tire radial direction. A tread part 2 is constituted of a tread rubber 9 on a tread crown side and a wing rubber 10 on tread shoulder side. The wing rubber 10 extends to a buttless part 8 beyond a tread contact end E and contacts with a side wall rubber 11 under such a condition as the tire is combined with a standard rim and given normal load under the standard internal pressure. The wing rubber 10, whose width G in the axial direction of the tire is 15-25% of a tire cross-section width W, is constituted of rubber composition mixed with 0.5-5 pts.wt. of rubber modifier which contains 30-40% of N,N'-bis (2-methyl-2-nitropropyl)-1,6-hexadiamine in 100 pts.wt. of rubber component in which a weight ratio (NR/SBR) of natural rubber(NR) and styrene butadiene rubber(SBR) is in a range of 100/0-50/50. |
