PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reagent kit having excellent characteristics such that the concentrations of protein and peptide can be precisely measured with good sensitivity, the fluctuation between proteins is minimized, the assay time is shortened, a reagent is stabilized, the detecting limit is low, and the like. SOLUTION: A reagent A containing 0.7mmole/l of Cu<2+> ion and 2-4mmole/l of a tartrate and a reagent B containing 1-1.5mmole/l of ascorbic acid and 0.5-0.8mmole/l of bactoproin are contained in an alkaline solution. The capacity ratio of the reagent A to the reagent B is 1:8 to 1:12, and the total capacity of the reagent A and the reagent B is 750 to 3000μl.
