ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain fuel pressure in a fuel supply system immediately after an engine stop so as to surely perform restarting in a high temperature in an engine having a high pressure fuel injection pump. SOLUTION: This engine is provided with a fuel pump 4 electrically driven independently of engine revolution for transferring fuel in a fuel tank by low pressure and a fuel injection pump 5 mechanically driven in synchronization with engine revolution for transferring fuel from the fuel tank to an injector 2 by high pressure. At the same time when the engine is stopped, the operations of the fuel pump and the fuel injection pump are stopped or the operation of the fuel pump is continued for a certain period after the engine stop and thereby fuel pressure is maintained between the fuel pump and the fuel injection pump and the generation of vapors is prevented so as to assure restarting of the engine in a high temperature.
