PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly confirm the information of printer or down load information while a host device and a printer are connected by one-way communication. SOLUTION: Host devices 1 (1a-1n) have printer files 10 in which the names of drivers in one-to-one correspondence to printers 2a-2m being permitted the down load of font are written. When the printers are selected at the host devices 1 (1a-1n), it is confirmed whether the names of drivers corresponding to the selected printers 2a-2m are contained in a printer file 10 or not and it is immediately judged by the host devices 1 (1a-1n) whether the designated printers 2a-2m are printers which the down load of font is possible or not. |
