PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weatherstrip of excellent sealing performance and appearance. SOLUTION: A weatherstrip comprises a base portion 4a secured on a door peripheral wall 8 and a hollow sealing portion 4b connected to the base portion 4a, the hollow sealing portion 4b having substantially circular cross section and being pressed against a convex portion 6 of a vehicle body opening edge 1. The weatherstrip seals a gap between the the convex portion 6 of the vehicle body opening edge 1 and the door peripheral wall 8. The hollow sealing portion 4b includes die-formed corner sections interposed between a vertical section and an inclined or horizontal section, the corner sections being connected to the base portion 4a at the hinged-side corners of the door peripheral wall 8. Each corner section has swelled and thickened portion U on its top and outer position, which contacts with the outer side surface of the convex portion 6 when the weatherstrip comes to contact with the the convex portion 6. |
