PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic display device capable of displaying a stereoscopic picture in a background without interrupting a field of view. SOLUTION: The device is constituted of a hologram screen 11 for recording a scatterer, an image projecting means 15 for spatially or timewisely dividing left-eye and right-eye images having parallax between them and spacially or timewisely alternately separating and projecting these images to the screen 11, and an image separating means (parallax barrier 21) for separating an image formed on the screen 11 into pixles 611 for the left-eye image and pixels 621 for the right-eye image and making the pixels 611, 621 incident upon the left and right eyes 811, 812 of an observer 81. In this case, the screen 11 is constituted of a transparent material. |
