PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily detect a different part equal to or exceeding a prescribed size in two printed patterns while absorbing the positional deviation and the alignment error of the patterns, and to detect the difference in a dot area ratio. SOLUTION: Data of an inspection block is extracted from object data by an object extraction part 7. Data of a master block is successively extracted by a master extraction part 8 while two-dimensionally shifting the master block within an oscillation extent. The data of the inspection block is compared with the data of the master block by a collation part 9 so as to decide whether or not the difference equal to or exceeding the prescribed size exists. A difference of the number of pixels '1' between the inspection block and the master block with the decision that the difference equal to or exceeding the prescribed size does not exist is calculated by a dot error deciding part 12, then, it is decided by the part 12 whether the difference is equal to or exceeding the prescribed value. |
