PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for passenger car which has low noise and good maneuvering stability and hydro-planing characteristics. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is provided with a rib 1 in central circumferential direction fitted in the pattern center, a pair of grooves 2 in central circumferential direction fitted on the right and left of the rib 1 in central circumferential direction, and directionally inclining grooves 3 which incline to the right or left to the circumferential direction and extend in a V shape. An aspect ratio is 50% or less, groove width is 3.5-9 mm, the directionally inclining grooves incline to the right or left to the circumferential direction at the angle of 30-60 degrees, extend in a V shape from the grooves 2 in central circumferential direction, and open to both the ends at an angle of 80-90 degrees to the circumferential direction at both the sides of a tread, the tire is provided with shoulder laterally grooves 5 with 2-5mm of groove width extending at an angle of 80-90 degrees to the circumferential direction in a shoulder block which is formed by the directionally inclining grooves at both the sides of the tread. The ratio of the length (pitch) in the circumferential direction of a pattern to the circumferential length of the tread is 1.5-3%, the negative ratio of a tread pattern is 30-35%, and the rectangle ratio is 65-100%. |
