PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording sheet excellent in ink absorbing speed and having sufficient coloring properties and coating strength by employing an ink receiving layer having an uppermost layer containing fine granular cellulose and/or fine fibrous cellulose. SOLUTION: The top coat layer of an ink receiving layer contains fine granular cellulose and/or fine fibrous cellulose. More specifically, a material for forming the top coat layer is added, under solution state or fused state, with specified quantity of fine granular cellulose and/or fine fibrous cellulose. Preferably, the top coat layer is 0.1-10μm thick. When it is thinner than 0.1μm, sufficient waterproofness can not be ensured. When it is thicker than 10μm, sufficient water supply rate can not be ensured. |
