PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely recover an ink cartridge in a clean condition by arranging a seal section, which can be fitted in an ink discharging section hermetically, in a shelf section which carries a cartridge case on an inside bottom of a housing chamber formed into a box-like shape. SOLUTION: In a box body, each housing chamber 13 is formed, in which an ink discharging section PH of an ink cartridge IC having an ink absorbing foam FO therein is housed upside down. Also, at a shelf part 15 which carries a bottom CB of the ink cartridge IC horizontally, a seal section 17 opened upward is fixed on its inside bottom 16. In the seal section 17, the ink discharging section PH is inserted hermetically by a seal ring 18. The used ink cartridge IC is inserted into the housing chamber 13 of a recovering device, its bottom CB is supported horizontally so as to lay it on the shelf section 15, a print head PH is inserted into the seal cap 17, the seal ring 18 is held in the hermetical state, and each housing chamber 13 is closed by a lid body in this state. |
