PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the uniformity of pixel toner by providing a dummy electrode in adjacent relation to an edge shield electrode and keeping consistent charge environment in relation to apertures during printing. SOLUTION: At least a first dummy electrode 320a is formed on the second main surface 310 adjacent to an edge shield electrode 314a. A plurality of apertures 322 extending from a plurality of shield electrodes 314 to a plurality of the corresponding gate electrodes 312 are arranged to a printing head structure 306. A back electrode 324 and a control circuit 344 are formed on the side opposite to the first main surface 308 of the printing head structure 306. The control circuit 344 applies a control signal to the printing head structure 306 to allow electrostatically charged toner particles to flow to the back electrode 324 through the selected aperture 322. By this constitution, consistent charge environment is held to the apertures 322 and the uniformity of printing is enhanced. |
