PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in plasticizer resistance, chemical resistance, watering resistance, water peeling resistance and matching properties with thermal heat by employing montan wax modified polyester resin in thermal coloring layer. SOLUTION: A montan wax modified polyester resin is produced by adding a montan wax to a polyester resin and treating under high pressure. When the montan wax modified polyester resin is employed in a thermal coloring layer, an intermediate layer, or a protective layer, it has significant effect on the head matching properties and barrier properties. When the montan wax modified polyester resin is employed in a back coat layer, it has similar effect as the protective layer on the plasticizer resistance and water peeling resistance on the rear surface. |
