PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up the reading of information by shortening the seeking time and the time required for the program searching of track and also to provide an electronized optical head having a long service life. SOLUTION: The advancing direction of laser light transmitted from a laser light transmittor 1 is controlled by a laser light first direction controlling paraelectrics 4 and a laser light second direction controlling paraelectrics 5. Refractive indexes of the laser light first direction controlling paraelectrics 4 and the laser light second direction controlling paraelectrics 5 are changed according to the intensities of electric fields to be generated by laser light direction control means 3 and the advancing direction of the laser light is controlled by the intensities of the electric fields. The laser light whose direction is controlled is projected on the target track of a CD-ROM 7 or the like by being passed through the reflection means such as a prism 6 and so forth. Since the reflected light of the irradiation light returns to a laser light receiver 2 along the route reversal to the incident time, optical information of the CD-ROM or the like can be read out. |
