SOLUTION: The combustion air is fed to a pair of regenerative burners 11 through a combustion air feed passage 12, a branched feed passages 12a, 12b, and the cooling air is fed through a cooling air feed passage 14, and branched feed passages 14a, 14b. The change in the in-furnace pressure due to the fluctuation of the in-furnace temperature is obtained by detecting the pressure in the combustion air feed passage 12, and the volume of the cooling air flowing into the furnace is adjusted by adjusting the pressure of the passing combustion air to the pressure of the corresponding cooling air by a governor 18.
