PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively dehydrate an organic material to be treated, regulate the moisture content to a proper one and efficiently carry out the fermentation treatment by providing a specific constitution in the subject apparatus capable of housing the material to be treated in a fermenter and fermenting the material to be treated. SOLUTION: This apparatus for fermentation treatment is obtained by providing a storage tank 5 for temporarily storing a material 4 to be treated before housing thereof in a fermenter 2, arranging the storage tank 5 adjacent to or in close contact with the fermenter 2 so as to receive heat of fermentation, connecting a dehydrator (a screw type dehydrator) 6 to a discharging part (5a) for the material 4 to be treated in the storage tank 5, installing a carrying in means (a dropping port) (6b) for carrying the material 4 to be treated into the fermenter 2 at a discharging port (6a) of the dehydrator 6, arranging the storage tank 5 on the fermenter 2 and preferably installing the dehydrator 6 below the discharging port (5a) of the storage tank 5 and above a housing position for the material 4 to be treated of the fermenter 2. A water storage tank 8 for storing dehydrated water is preferably connected to the dehydrator 6 and a water sprinkler 10 is preferably linked to the water storage tank 8. Furthermore, a heating means 9 for evaporating an excessive amount of water is preferably provided.
