<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the failure of a shaft at the time of hitting a ball by forming a club head in such a manner that its projecting length is short or the club head has no neck part and winding prepreg around the shaft and the shaft part near the shaft, then curing the prepreg. SOLUTION: The club head 1 is so formed that the projecting length L of the neck part 12 projected more to the grip side than the extension surface 13 formed by extending the surface of the top part 6 of the club head 1 attains <=10mm or the neck part 12 is eliminated by making the projecting length L zero. The club head has a reinforcing material 14 formed by winding the prepreg cross knitted with reinforcing fibers and curing the prepreg at the base end of the shaft 2 inserted at the time of mounting the club head 1 and the shaft part near the same in succession thereto. The reinforcing material 14 may be constituted simply by winding the prepreg on the shaft 2 and curing the prepreg and, therefore, the extremely easy reinforcement of the shaft 2 is made possible.</p> |
