Disclosed is a laundry dry supplying heated air into a rotary drum filled with laundry and having an anti-overheating device. When heat drying is selected, a motor (19) rotates a fan (5) and a rotary drum (10), and a gas burner (42) begins combustion. The gas burner (42) is automatically controlled by the temperature from a laundry temperature sensor (S2) and an exhaust temperature sensor (S3). The preset reference temperature (TO) and the output from the temperature sensor (S1) fitted in the air inlet (4) are compared. If the output from the temperature sensor (S1) is higher than the preset reference temperature (TO), the filtration mechanism (50) judges the filter clogged, the heat drying stops, and an alarm buzzer (18) operates.
