Guide channel automatic mapping of VCR is practised as follows; (a) If the input of show view code is finished(S2) in reservation recording of show view(S1),decodes show view code(S3). (b) discriminates whether the guide channel out of decoded show view code is mapped with specified program number or not(S4). (c) If decoded show view code is not mapped with specified program number, appoints only program number, memorizes forever(S7). (d) If it is so, settles this program number(S8) and finishes reservation recording displaying by displaying it on TV OSD screen(S9).
