The heat exchanger (14) is introduced through an opening provided in a recess (12) of a body (10) in the manner of a drawer. A support plate (42) is solid with the element (16) through which the fluid flows, and which is partly inserted from the exterior into the housing. This support plate has fitted to it a locking mechanism (40) which rotates about the axis (XX). Two opposing arms (62) extend from the central axis (XX) which each have on their extreme ends lips (64). When the arm is in the closed position, the lips cooperate with two retainers (68) provided on the housing (10) on one side or the other of the opening.
