A wave breaker including a disc-shaped element (1) provided with radial vanes (5) on at least one surface thereof, said element (1) being provided with an axial bore (3) for the float line rope. The wave breaker is characterised in that the axial bore (3) forms the inner wall of a hollow sealed space (2) on the outer wall of which is located the disc having said vanes (5).
