PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing blade which gives little damage on a toner and has small compressive permanent strain and excellent durability, which maintains constant distance between the blade and a developing roller after a long-term operation, which has little variance in the volume specific resistance in each lots, and which causes little deposition of a toner and hardly produces charges of the opposite polarity in the toner. SOLUTION: This developing blade 9 consists of an elastomer compsn. for a developing blade comprising 100 pts.wt. elastomer, 5-200 pts.wt. filler and 0.1-10 pts.wt. crosslinking agent. The elastomer above described is, for example, acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), epichlorohydrin rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), silicone rubber, urethane rubber, and fluorine rubber. The filler is not limited as far as it has >0.2Ω.cm and <=300Ω.cm volume resistivity, and generally, a material which is used as a conductivity imparting agent for the rubber is preferably used. As for the crosslinking agent, an org. peroxide or sulfur-based vulcanizing agent is usually used. |
