PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the casings of plural image forming unit relatively moved corresponding to plural printing heads into the same maximum shape. SOLUTION: The side faces 79a on the side of a supporting shaft 44, of the developing units 79 of the plural image forming units 42(42-1, 42-2, 42-3 and 42-4) are formed to such a shape that the side faces 79a avoid the locus 45-1a of the part on the side far from the supporting shaft 44, of a printing head 43-1 on the side farthest from the supporting shaft 44. The side faces 79b on the sides facing the side faces 79a are formed to such a shape that the side faces 79b avoid the locus 45-3b of the part on the side nearer to the supporting shaft 44, of a second printing head 43-3 from the supporting shaft 44. When the supporting shaft 44 is on the right-hand side, the side faces 79a are formed to such a shape that the side faces 79a avoid the locus 45-1a (a circular-arc is inverted) of the part on the side nearer to the supporting shaft 44, of the printing head 43-1 nearest to the supporting shaft 44. Then, the side faces 79b are formed to such a shape that the side faces 79b avoid the locus 45-3b of the part on the side far from the supporting shaft 44, of the second printing head 43-3 from the side farthest from the supporting shaft 44. |
