PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially extend the service life of a power supply port and enable a local illumination device to be used over a long period of time without requiring a new power supply port by using an LED with its less power consumption as an illumination means. SOLUTION: A local illumination device is provided with an optical sensor means 1 for judging peripheral brightness, a battery means 2 which does not require AC100V plug socket, an illumination means 3 whose power sources are the battery means 2, and a human sensing sensor means 4 for detecting the presence or absence of a human body in the periphery. And, the means 3 is actuated only when the periphery is dark and when the presence of the human body in the periphery is detected, and power consumption of the means 3 can be reduced by using an LED for the means 3. Therefore, since the service life of a power supply port can be substantially extended, the device can be used over a long period of time without requiring a new power supply port. |
