摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the characteristic superior to the inherent characteristic of the original hydrogen storage alloy in both the initial activation degree and cycle life by mixing multiple kinds of hydrogen storage alloys. SOLUTION: Grains A of the first hydrogen storage alloy having the CaCU5 type structure and grains B of the second hydrogen storage alloy having a composition different from that of the first hydrogen storage alloy are bonded together in a hydrogen storage alloy electrode. Bonding layers C with the new composition containing the component elements of the first and second hydrogen storage alloys are formed on bonding boundary faces. A hydrogen storage alloy with the composition excellent in the initial activation degree is employed for the first hydrogen storage alloy, a hydrogen storage alloy with the composition excellent in the cycle life is employed for the second hydrogen storage alloy, and the bonding layers C exert the characteristics multiplied by the characteristics of both hydrogen storage alloys.
