The method is applied to a vehicle driven by the engine via a gearbox and a clutch (10) with a hydraulic actuation circuit (16), in which the pressure is sensed by an electrical contact (4). The threshold of sensing corresponds to the pressure necessary for the clutch lever or fork (7) to be moved against a spring. The fuel supply controller (8) uses the signal from the contact to identify or anticipate disengagement of the clutch as a consequence of depression of the pedal (1). In this condition the amount supplied or its timing can be corrected in accordance with a predetermined strategy for fuel economy and reduction of pollution. |
