PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector simple in structure and small in mounting area, by providing a female contact and a housing with the specified constitution, in the connector equipped with a female contact which accepts a male pin contact to be inserted from the outside of the housing. SOLUTION: Female contacts 8L and 8R are equipped with plate-shaped receptacles (R) 10, which accept male pin contacts, plate-shaped first soldering parts (A) 11, which are bent roughly at right angles along the bending lines roughly parallel with the direction of insertion of the male pin contacts from one side of each R:10, and second soldering parts (B) 12, which are bent from each A:11 and constitute the board faces roughly at right angles to both board faces of each R:10 and each A:11, and a housing 2 is equipped with engaging parts 5 which engage with the tips of each B:12 of the female contacts 8L and 8R. That is, the female contacts 8L and 8R are simple of structure since they are manufactured of one sheet each of conductive board, and they can be firmly fixed to a printed circuit board or the like. |
