Laundry weight of washing machine is discriminated as follows; (a) Washing machine gets the motor(1) to rotate washing barrel(2) to be rotated and to be stopped so it gets the motor(1) to be rotate with rotating inertia force continually. (b) Washing machine counts the time when it get motor(1) to stop, and counts the time when the period of pulse signal to detect the rotating of motor(1) is larger than prescribed period. (c) Laundry weight is discriminated in inversely proportional to the amount of counted time.
