Disclosed is a antifreeze composition which contains propylene glycol as main component; 0.2-0.5wt% of an inorganic silicon compound represented by formula(I); 0.01-0.09wt% of a compound represented by formula(II); a compound represented by formula(III). In the formulae, M is Na ion or K ion; v is an integer of 0 to 3, w is an integer of 1 to 4, and p is an integer of 1 to 4 and equals to v+w; Y is ethylene, propylene, butylene, isobutylene, or C3-C6 linear or blanched alkylene group; R1 and R2, being identical or different, are C1-C4 alkyl; R3 is C1-C4 alkyl; R4, R5 and R6, being identical or different, are C1C2 carboxylic acid; R7 is H or an alkali metal ion. This antifreeze has hard-water stability, storage stability and anticorrosive effect.
