PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize additional information such as a copy control code without giving effect onto an original signal and to surely attain copying control in the case of an analog interface. SOLUTION: A synthesis signal 934 reproduced by a reproduction device 900 and converted into an analog signal includes an analog information signal and the copying control code. The copying control code is modulated by spread spectrum processing. A code read section 927 of a recorder 920 extracts the copying control code 940 by inverse spread spectrum processing and a code revision section 929 revises the copying control code as required by the spread spectrum processing. An output signal of the code revision section 929 is converted into a digital signal and processed required for recording and the resulting signal is recorded in a recording medium 925.
