FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: engine has hollow housing; hollow drum for accommodating sealing and compression liquid ring installed axis-symmetrically on shaft inside housing; rotor with radial projections on end faces and blades in spaces between projections installed eccentrically on shaft in drum space; combustion chambers and supply, cooling and lubricating system and torque takeoff device. To improve reliability, increase efficiency and stability of operation within wide range of load variations, drum and rotor are mechanically coupled and are installed in housing on common crankshaft which is mechanically connected , together with drum, to common power takeoff system. Ports for connection to supply, cooling and liquid feed systems are made in end face walls of drum. on one end face of rotor radial projection in form of solid circular ridge is made and on opposite end face, radial projections in form of at least two discrete variable height ridges are provided. Rotor is divided into sections lengthwise by intermediate ring radial ridge, one of sections, shorter one, is compression zone, and longer one is expansion zone communicating with exhaust duct. At least two radial blades are. installed in each zone and at least two bypass channels are made in rotor body which place above indicated zones in communication and serve as combustion chambers.
