FIELD: insulation of pipes. SUBSTANCE: method consists in applying insulating layer on steel pipe. Insulating layer includes at least one layer of polyurethane rigid foam plastic. Then cover layer is applied. Insulating layer contains additionally one layer of polyisocyanurate plastic material between steel pipe and layer of rigid polyurethane foam plastic. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
