<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a corresponding point between two sheets of pictures by reducing or enlarging one of two pictures, superposing the reduced or enlarged picture with the other picture and finding out correlation between both the pictures. SOLUTION: A scanning range setting part 1 prepares two pictures (f), (g), defines a common coordinate system (i, j) and sets a scanning range R. A scanning window setting part 2 sets a small scanning window W common to the two pictures f (i, j), g (i, j). Then, a feature parameter measuring part 3 calculates a feature parameter while scanning the window W within the range R. A smoothing processing part 4 smooths the value of a parameter PW plotted by the measuring part 3. A minimum value searching part 5 searches a minimum value having the sharpest parameter PW. Further, a minimum coordinate value calculating part 6 calculates newly a minimum point from values around the minimum point in order to find out a more accurate minimum point. Thus, two pictures can be superposed by superposing two points of the coordinate value.</p> |
