LEAD WIRE WITH SUPPORT PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify connection to a head for HDD without requiring the positional correction of a branch strand by arranging a lead wire on a support plate to position the branch strand on one end side by a positioning means provided on the support plate so that the connection pitch is kept to a member to which the branch strand is to be connected. SOLUTION: The terminal part of a strand 2 is stuck on a plate 5 with an adhesive tape. An window hole 7 is located so that a branch strand is kept floating between a branch start end part A on the other end side of the strand 2 and a positioning pin 6 and an insulation film of the strand is peeled off at the part of the window hole 7 to connect a head element for HDD or the like. When a lead wire 1 is removed from a support plate 5 after the completion of working, the lead wire integrated with the element for HDD is obtained. The branch strand on the other end side is positioned along a layout part of a terminal 4 for testing with a positioning pin 12 provided on the plate 5. A positioning pin is used even on the other end side of the wire 1.
