INCOMING CONFLUENT NOISE SUPPRESSING METHOD IN TWO-WAY CATV SYSTEM AND BRANCHING DEVICE AND PROTECTOR USED FOR THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an incoming confluent noise without interrupting an incoming signal in the 2-way CATV system. SOLUTION: An incoming signal level from a terminal of a subscriber's house 6 to a branching device 4 is set higher than a standard level of the branching device 4 and the incoming signal level is attenuated by the branching device 4 and the resulting level is outputted. Furthermore, an incoming signal level from the terminal of the subscriber's house 6 to a protector 7 is set higher than a standard level of the protector 7 and the incoming signal level is attenuated by the protector 7 and the resulting level is outputted. Moreover, an attenuator 5 is provided to an incoming circuit of the branching device 4 and the protector 7.
