PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable carrying transfer material and preventing the transfer material from being wound around an image carrier, without adopting a carrying belt of the transfer material. SOLUTION: This device is provided with four photoreceptor drums 10Y, 10M, 10C and 10BK parallelly disposed in a row, and transferring rollers 5Y, 5M, 5C and 5BK arranged in roll contact with these photoreceptor drums, and a transfer paper sheet is carried while allowed to pass through in-between respective photoreceptor drum and several transfer roller. A guide mechanism 50 for guiding carriage of the transfer paper sheet is provided with the fixed rear side guides 51, 52 and 54 for guiding and holding the rear side of the transfer paper sheet, and first and second guide members 53a extending along the carrying direction in state of being held in contact with the photoreceptor drums, and made possible to come into contact with a non-image forming area of a surface side of the transfer paper sheet. The first and the second guide members is severally shifted by a shifting mechanism according to the size of the transfer paper sheet, and a space between these guide members is adjusted. |
