PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a patient before a telephone response is performed by retrieving the identification information corresponding to a received transmission number and displaying this information on the display means of an extension terminal. SOLUTION: When the originating call from the telephone set 1 on the side of a patient is received, the transmission number of the telephone set 1 on the side of the patient is recognized by utilizing the transmitter number notification service from an ISDN 2, the name of a patient is retrieved from a storage part 32 based on this transmission number and this retrieved name of the patient is made to be displayed on the display part 42 of an extension telephone set 4. Namely, the telephone exchange 3 in a hospital receives the transmission number in the transmission telephone set 1 on the side of the patient via a transmitter number notification processing part 33 by utilizing the transmitter number notification service of an ISDN 2, retrieves the name of the patient from a storage part 32 based on this transmission number and makes this retrieved name of the patient display on the display part 42 of the extension telephone set 4. |
