PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the execution of recording and erasing at an extremely high speed possible by providing this recording medium with a structure provided with a crystallization accelerating layer between a substrate and a recording layer and subjecting this recording layer to an initial crystallization treatment by irradiation with light energy. SOLUTION: A disk is produced by successively laminating a (ZnS)80 (SiO2 )20 at 230nm as a dielectric protective layer, an Sb2 Te3 layer at 0.25nm as the crystallization accelerating layer, an Sb layer at 0.25nm as a compsn. correcting layer, an Sb72 Te28 layer at 20nm as the recording layer, a (ZnS)80 (SiO2 )20 layer at 20nm as a dielectric protective layer and an Al alloy layer at 100nm as a reflection layer by a magnetron sputtering method on a polycarbonate substrate and further, providing the surface thereof with a UV curing resin at 4μm. This disk is subjected to initial crystallization by using an optical disk initialization device, setting the number of revolutions of the disk at 2700rpm, the feed speed of the beam at 5μm/revolution, the laser power in the position of radius 64mm of the disk at 400mw and the laser power in the position of the radius 27mm at 170W and making the proportional distribution therebetween. |
