<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely detect input coordinates by patterning a resistance film in a grating shape consisting of vertical and horizontal lines so that the vertical lines are as wide as the horizontal lines and the vertical and horizontal lines increase in pitch toward the center part. SOLUTION: The resistance film 35 is formed on a glass substrate 34 and has its resistance value set larger than those of circumferential electrodes 22-25. The resistance film 35 is patterned in the grating shape consisting of the vertical lines extending along Y axis and the horizontal lines extending along X axis so that the line width WV of the vertical lines and the line width WH of the horizontal lines are equal or nearly equal to each other and the pitch PV of the vertical lines and the pitch PH of the horizontal lines increase toward the center part. Consequently, voltage drops across electrodes 22-25 for potential distribution generation are made small and the linearity of equipotential lines formed nearby the said electrodes 22-25 is increased, so that a potential distribution having good linearity can be generated on the resistance film 35.</p> |
