PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a cause of deterioration of various kinds of images caused by static electricity in using a contact transfer member for transferring the toner image on a transfer material. SOLUTION: A transferring voltage variable output circuit 211 is, composed so as to apply specified voltage in between a photoreceptor drum and a transfer roller 45 being held in contact with each other, and to make the electric current detecting circuit 211 possible to detect the current made to flow at this time. This detection result is made reference to data stored in a ROM 103 and environments where a printer 241 is located is decided. The transferring voltage variable output circuit 211 and the discharging voltage variable output circuit 112 is respectively allowed to control applying voltage to a desired value, with respect to the transfer roller 45 or a charge removing rod 78A corresponding to temp. and humidity of a first surface or the second surface of the paper sheet, or the device, to eliminate the static discharge in separating the paper sheet, and to prevent the deterioration of the image quality caused by the electric discharge between the potential on the paper sheet and the photoreceptor drum, re-transfer of the toner image on the paper sheet by transferring of the toner image to a thermal fixing device 83 or the like. |
