PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color image forming device which is highly precise and is free of a decrease in detection precision which is caused by soil with toner, etc., by disposing image pickup elements in the interior of an image forming body and on the side of the furthest downstream developing unit, and detecting regist patterns formed on an image forming body, each of which is made of toner of different color. SOLUTION: In the position which is inside the photoreceptive drum 10, downstream from the developing unit 13(K), and before the reach of a cleaner 19, a support member 20 is provided with a regist detection means RS, and regist adjustment between exposure optical systems 12(Y), 12(M), 12(C), and 12(K) is made by detecting the regist patterns formed on the periphery of the photoreceptor drum 10. The image pickup elements of the regist detection means, such as CCDs, are line type or area type ones and are parallelly fixed to the shaft of the photoreceptor drum 10, an image forming lens is provided in front of each of the image pickup elements, and the regist pattern images formed on the periphery of the photoreceptor drum 10 are formed on the image pickup elements. |
