PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently reproduce a dot photograph, etc. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image carrier 1 for forming an electrostatic latent image thereon and a developer carrier 5 for holding one component magnetic developer 2 arranged close to the image carrier 1. The electrostatic latent image is developed by making the one component magnetic developer flying on the image carrier 1 and forming electric field in between the image carrier 1 and the developer carrier 5. The developer carrier 5, provided with a semiconductor layer on its peripheral part, is composed so that the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the surface potential on the image forming area corresponded area when imparted a specified potential is made <=50V. |
